Great leadership is at the heart of great organizations.
European University, now led by Dr. Dirk Craen, was established in 1973 as an educational institution and has been enjoying ever-growing international popularity ever since. It now operates campuses in Switzerland (Geneva and Montreux), Spain (Barcelona) and Germany (Munich), with an executive facility in Yvorne, Switzerland.
The turning point for the university was the management brand buyout of 1998, led by Dr. Craen. European University expanded quickly, with representations in several countries across the world and a diverse student body. Today, the university boasts students with more than 100 different nationalities and a distinguished alumni network of 25,000 business leaders.
Under Dr. Craen’s leadership, European University was rated one of the top three business schools in Switzerland in 2013 by UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in its Global 200 Business Schools report. The QS rankings are held in high esteem in international educational and accreditation circles.
Despite his busy schedule as European University President and UNESCO chair, Dr. Craen makes time for networking and is rightly considered as the face of the university.
Honorary Professor at RSUE
On June 25th, 2012, Dr. Dirk Craen was conferred the distinguished title of Honorary Professor by the Rostov State University of Economics. It is noteworthy that as well as being prestigious, the award is also a rare honor, especially for non-Russian citizens. He and the accompanying delegates from European University were also presented with medallions to honor their sustained efforts in building a partnership between the two institutions.
Delegations at Nichols College
Dr. Dirk Craen led a European University delegation at Nichols College in 2012, with the aim of strengthening the Nichols-EU partnership.
